Spring Updates: Book Milestones, Podcast Magic, and the Beauty of Becoming
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions and milestones. I recently returned from a heartwarming trip to Louisiana, where I spent precious time with my grandbabies, reconnected with dear friends, and indulged in the soulful cuisine that always brings me comfort. The journey back to our cozy cottage in coastal Maine was long — but the memories, hugs, and beignets made it all worthwhile.
📚 Of a Woman Hits #2 on Amazon
I’m beyond thrilled to share that my memoir, Of a Woman: the journey to becoming, reached the #2 spot in Women’s Biographies and Memoirs on Amazon last week. This milestone means more to me than I can fully express.

If you’ve read it — thank you. If you’ve shared it with someone who needed it — thank you. If you’re curious, you can find it here:

🎙️ New on the Podcast: Babies, Boudin, and Becoming
On the latest episode of Unpacked with Shannon DalPozzal, I talk about my return to Louisiana — the food, the family, the long flights, and the emotional reflections that always seem to hit me hardest when I’m between places.
From gas station boudin to grandbaby snuggles, this episode is a love letter to my roots and a reminder that becoming doesn’t end just because you’ve moved on.

📬 Substack Reflections: Behind the Scenes of Becoming
I’ve also been writing on Substack, where I share deeper reflections, behind-the-scenes stories, and ongoing thoughts on growth, grief, and grace. If you enjoy the podcast or the book, you’ll feel right at home there.
👶 Meet Tripp, Our Newest Family Member
And in the most joyful news of all — we welcomed a new grandson into the world. He’s affectionately called Tripp (how fitting for a travel writer, right?). Holding him in my arms reminded me that the journey of becoming continues with every new chapter, and every tiny heartbeat that connects us to something bigger than ourselves.
Thank you, for being here. Whether you’re listening, reading, reflecting, or just passing through – I’m grateful.
Here’s to soft landings, unexpected detours, and the sacred, beautiful mess of becoming.
