Bucket List Complete
It has taken me almost 50 years, however I have finally completed my bucket list. I recently traveled to France with a group of like-minded travelers, where we enjoyed good food, good wine, and much laughter along the way.
We actually began our journey in Bruges, Belgium before embarking on a road trip around the French countryside. We stopped in Bayeux, Amboise, Sancerre, and finally in Reims. Reims was the perfect ending to the adventure, being that it is in the Champagne region of France. Yes, I finally can say I had Champagne in Champagne. And what a beautiful experience to check off that final task of my life’s desires. And all before my 50th birthday.
To be quite honest, I’m still processing the emotions of accomplishing the long list I had for my life. And so that I don’t feel like I’m “finished” with life, I’m going to take some time to think about what to include on the next list. Because really, at almost 50 years old, I’d like to think I’m at the halfway point of this living thing.
Has my life turned out as I expected or planned? Not all of it, but some things did work out just as I imagined. And I am in awe every day that I am still alive to experience all the things.
So, cheers to you, cheers to life, and cheers to my Bucket List Part Deux.
Congratulations my friend! So happy to be a part of the journey! 🍾 🥂 🪣 ✅
